The Singers of Hope Chorus (SHC) is a semi-professional volunteer choral group dedicated to promoting various genres of upscale choral music. The SHC was founded in January 2006 by Yelena Eckemoff and co-founded by Gail Stilwell and Michael Wood with the purpose of enhancing the culture of performing arts in Caswell County (NC) and surrounding areas by presentations of classical, traditional and modern choral music.
The SHC is a non profit group operating with donations and contributions from individuals and organisations to help cover the cost of operating expences, such as purchasing sheet music, paying guest musicians, buying props and paying for services.
